A very late update
|
Sorry guys,
My blog have been dead for quite a while, reason being, I am very busy for the past few weeks, busy preparing for our MEGA events and also video editing, and shows inbetween. Yap, so it have been a really busy month(s) for me.
So what happened? Well, we had Inversion, Ning's very own inverted Straight Jacket Escape and also, the greatest event of the year, The Impossible Record. So Inversion is pretty straight forward, she escape from it. :)
The Impossible Record is simply we try to complete 15 illusions in 5 min. Well, the end result? WE DID IT!!!! Yap.. I was pretty worried in the beginning because of several reasons. First, the weather is bloody bad, second, the stage are not even, third, we pull out a illusion because of the weather. So we are tied down to 15 illusions which means no room for mistake, and also we changed a sequence in the last dry run.
But, well, everything went well, and once again, we set a record!! And I technically very proud of it, because of all the hardwork we put in, it pays off, come to think of it. 2 months ago, we are still worrying whether is it physically possible. And I can tell you, after that MEGA event, I was totally dead.
Ya.. Another thing i have to announce, so that some people don't know, I attached to a gal and we go official!!! Ya!!! Yap, it have been a ride because I wanted her to understand my work before we go on the ride, but she is so understanding, which totally kick me off the socks, and she came all the way down to support the event and of course, bring me a herbal tea.. LOL!!
Well, I really glad she is supportive towards my work and time frame, and I just hope things will go on like this, or even better. YA!!
Okie then, I have to go to work le. I love her.. |

Cough got the better of me
|
Hai.. After I came back from the saturday outing with my friends, the next day, I got a bad sore throat. And sooner than I know, I got a bad cough now and abit of rashes of course. (Because body warm, cause the rashes to come out)
Zzz.. So mood not at the best peak. So ya. Anyway, cannot let the cough take over me, trying to drink as much water as i can.
This week going to be tough, yesterday have us doing the rehearsal for the impossible record and the result not that ideal. Lets hope we brush it up and able to succeed in the record that we wanted.
Also, not to forget that we still got ultimate magic.. Haha!!
So no one should fall sick at this critical time. Sunday marks the Inversion.. Crazy..

No Point Fighting
|
Truth, no point fighting it over with a 17 years old kid. Anyway, he is too young to understand the situation a head of him and until the time when the reality hit his face, he won't know it.
To each of his own, no one can force you what you want to be, be a rich dad, or a poor dad. No one cares. But to a lot of people, a rich dad not necessary be rich, a poor dad is not necessary poor. Wealth is just something that you cannot bring with you when you die.
On a second note, study so much yet becomes a magician, same to me. I am among the top notch of what I study, Mechanical, electronic, Mechatronics. But I am not an engineer or a scientist, or a professor. Same to Ning, she is not a TV host, a writer or a film maker. But that doesn't mean the skills learnt in poly, degree or PHD is not used.
I mentioned before, I designed and reworked illusions' circuit works and also the mechanism works. Ning does all the "communication" with alot of people. J C does all the marketing strategies, ideas, etc. And tons more to other people in the company. WE DON"T JUST DO MAGIC. WE USED OUR KNOWLEDGE TO BRING MAGIC TO A DIFFERENT LEAGUE. And its because of these knowledge, we are different from others and stands out.
Well yes, I can study the whole shit of financial education and be financial free, blah blah blah. But did you complete your life because of that, or you are just striving to be rich? Or you may say, when you are financial free, you can do what you like then? So what comes first, doing what you like or being financial free? I don't know, basically, now I am financial free and I like what I do.
So how all the statistics come? From the books? From a news report? From a source? and you believe in that? For me, I can't answer that myself. The fact is, Media-books,news,etc. are things that spread like virus, but how you know what they wrote is correct, true?
A very good example I will state, in the past, they said that coffee is bad for health, now they say coffee is good for health. So which one is correct? Just because of scientific prove?
So my point is, believe what you believe, if you think that financial education can bring life to your current life, go ahead. Be financial free, earn big money, prove wrong to the IBM people. But no one will blame you, no one will congrats you.
Or ya, by the way, if your small head don't realize, economy markets are all fake. First, shares never exist, don't say money, bear in mind money is legal tender. It means, the government can say your money is worthless, and it become worthless. So the economy market changes and affect other because of the same rule, all is about a term, money, But that doesn't mean the system, government, tax is the same to all country. Singapore tax system is way different from USA.
I give you an example, try exempting from tax and see what happen to you in Singapore. Try exempting tax in US and nothing will happen to you. Try to argue with government in Singapore that you own the land when you bought the house and see what happen to you. Try to do that in US, they cannot take it back from you.
All because, the rules that governed the country is different, just that. And keep thinking of the things in the book, you won't grow smart or rich, you are just being lead by the nose. |

Training
|
Everything have been quite peaceful, with a bit of tense moments. Mainly because we are training for the new illusion and its for a corporate show that is coming up.
Well, other than that, I got a gathering coming up!! They are going to Desaru on the 11th July to 12th July. Very tempting, even though its only for 1 night which is a bit weird. But quite some time since I last seen them. LOL!!
But the key problem will be finding replacement for the show on Sat. And 11th July, could be a peak period for us. Hai.. |

Education?
|
I just read Ning's Blog and was quite surprised by a blogger's intention of education. So what I feel about it?
Before I came around nagging and people that read this post have no idea what I am talking about, first you can go to Ning's Blog and read everything. Or I give you a short brief here. The thing is, this blogger, a sec 5 student, is able to earn 5k per month by magic and start to say that education is not "that" important to the aspect of life. And also, if you happen to go in and read his blog, I personally feel that he is overwhelmed by the thoughts of financial knowledge, and facts of them.
So here I go, first of all, education is a must, be it basic foundation, blah blah. IT'S a need, well, no one asked you to get a degree because if you have decent skill and a good brain, you don't really need degree to survive. Example like creative product sale. You are able to come out useful things that can sell out, then so be it. BUT!! You need the education for one thing, PR. Personal Relationship for the less educated. Because PR is the way to go to get people buy your things, know your things, and keep in touch. A very good example is hawker stall cook and a chef in a restaurant. Both can earn big money, but which one have more PR? A well-educated hawker stall cook will turn himself into a chef, maybe not in a restaurant, but know that image, packaging is very important for people to recognize you. A chef in restaurant is like respect from other people.
Without education, you can't even present yourself properly, so how are you going to sell yourself then? Especially as a magician, i think a proper knowledge will let people know that at least you have standard in your brain, and not just come out to be a magician because you cannot study. Bear in mind, you don't want to study and people thinking you cannot study, is 2 different things. So study to at least get a diploma or degree.
Also, Education can bring out a different level of creativity. Well, I personally is from Electrical Electronic Engineering, and also Mechatronic Engineering(Mechanical/Electronic). So because of my KNOWLEDGE in these fields, I can safety say that I am able to modify stuffs, design stuffs, without the fear of something going wrong. A very good example is the recent Shadow Vision that we got recently, I rewired the circuit and the lighting system confidently. I did material research, suggest what to use and achieve. How many will know that without proper education? Without this, you are just an empty vessel that can only do things that people build for you, and you cannot break through.
Of course, my field is in Engineering, and let say Ning's field is in Marketing and PR. She got the knack of attracting people and wow them with the context of words. Even for me.
So for all of you that are still schooling, don't think of easy way out, life is never easy, prepare yourself, learn a skill, learn an education, before you go out to the real world, or else you will suffer badly, really bad.
So next come to financial knowledge, I personally don't have that much of a knowledge, but if you think that the education doesn't teach you that, then you are wrong. There are tons of financial courses in schools that if you are interested in, you are all the welcome to take them. And seminars by renowned financial planners in SINGAPORE, that relate singapore's financial situation to you, not an American that come to singapore and tell you about Singapore. That will be a joke.
And this really reminds me of a multi-level marketing seminar that I went before. They only keep emphasizing the good of the product and the advantage of buying the product. Keep showing the results of people that sells them, driving car, in big houses, etc.
But please, look deeper, if there are rich people, how do they get so rich? Its because there are people that signed up and buy from them! You think you can be like them, but in honest reality, it will never happen.
A very good example, a online marketing system by a renowned person, saying the book is selling a 5 cent, but for each sale, the book cost will increase by 5 cent, (means 2nd book 10 cent, 3rd book 15 cent, as go) And there are currently 1000 people that have purchased this great book, and gain valuable things from it, and the numbers are still jumping.
So for the ignorant people that think that this book can bring fortune to them, they click and buy even if the book is now priced at US100 because they have the thinking that say, if I brought later when i know its good it will be more expensive.
But in reality, this book is never priced at 5 cent, because you never see 1000 people buying the book, you only see what they wanted you to see, the reality that its priced at 5 cent and 1000 people get it. So you buy the idea and purchase it.
So end story, look deeper, think deeper and ask yourself, do you really need it?
Please people, life is filled with cheats, people cheating your money people cheating your love, people cheating your life. So don't let more and more people come into your life that is filled with cheats. LOL!! |
