Show gig for the Toh Association!!
|
This is one major show that I done this year, for over 1000 people in the hall/ballroom, this is huge!!
When I was screening the room, 1st floor and 2nd floor is filled with people, and I wonder if everyone surname is Toh.
Well, the gig was pretty good, the client was happy with me and I have a great time with the kids and the adults where they helped me in my strait jacket and 1 handed mailbag escape.
Its kinda of great when you are doing the magic, and kids starts going, "I know how it was done" then next moment, you see their mouth wide opened and dumbfounded.
My 1 handed mailbag escape is always a killer to end the show because people will be surprised on how I manage to escape from the locks and chains when I cannot see, and locked down by an audience.
(Everything is a real deal, kids don't ask your dad to lock you in his bag, and you attempt to escape.)
I also did a show for a family day out at Downtown east. Cosy environment with very friendly crowd. Have a great time interacting with them, and all of them enjoyed my show. Because its great to hear and see those applause whenever I do my closing, of course, the thumbs up and small words that the people gesture when they walk past me or I walk past them.
Thanks for your support!! |

Driving Experience
|
Well, first of all, finally my gf is back from the long 8 days trip in Shanghai/Nanjing. Its very long, so long that I am damn bored and hopelessly lost.
Well, she is finally back, and of course I am happy!! LOL!! Not just that, but she is also my guide to learning driving safety. Yes, I say again, SAFETY.
Because there are alot of noobs out there, that thought that once they have that license to drive, they can drive. Which IMO is totally wrong. Ok, I had my bike license for 7 years and its already hard enough to "Master" it after getting the license.
So for driving, asking me to drive when I just got my license, I said a NO NO to anyone. Unless I mastered the real techniques. Alot of people got into accident because they cannot read other road users or drive too fast.
So, I got my gf to "teach" me, parking, driving, etc. I can tell you, its damn hard to drive, carpark parking is damn hard, and control a car is also hard. LOL!!
So now, I can drive and park, (1 time reverse went in okie!!) LOL!!, but going up a carpark, is still a headache man..
Okie as for now, all thanks to my gf loh |

Escape Vol 2 DVD by Danny Hunt
|
Escape Vol 2 bring you to a different level, it now bring you to more external escapes than the internal ones.
Ok, what I mean by external and internal is like, outside and inside, bigger versus smaller. The first volume talks about things like handcuffs, locks, lock picking etc. While the second volume talks about strait jackets, chain/rope escape.
I not saying that handcuffs and locks are small in terms of presentation, so lets bring it this way, its a total different presentation for volume 2.
Vol 2 teaches you about the chain or rope escape, different kinds of strait jackets, how to escape from them, etc. The one that I like most is the Spirit cabinet rope tie and of course the Houdini Challenge Performance. (One is a performance, one is a teaching)
The performance is very well plotted and its abit of a comedy. Well for those that have the DVD, will agree with me. The next is the Spirit cabinet rope tie, that teaches the classic rope tie, but in a slightly different way, its something to think about.
Well between these 2 DVDs, I prefer Vol 1 mainly because of the kind of materials that are taught, Vol 2 is more of widen your knowledge as an escaplogist.
But generally, both is totally different DVD and it is not necessary to own both to learn. I guess its built this way to let the customer buy what they really need.
Great DVD and its very rare to come across DVDs on ESCAPLOGY so, I certainly support and recommend these DVDs for escape artists. |

Escape Vol 1 DVD by Danny Hunt
|
Well,
I got my hand onto this DVD, known as Escape Vol 1. By Danny Hunt. What stuck me to get this DVD is the content inside that introduce lock picking techniques and tools and curiosity stuck me into buying it. Another fact is that he teaches you how to build your own lock picking tools. (Thats something worth to learn)
So I got my hand onto it and watch it in office and also at home. Watching the DVD, you won't be bored, because in between the explanations of the tools, you get to see live performance that Danny Hunt perform, using real technique.
If you are interested in knowing the mechanisms of lock picking, this is a treat for you. A downfall of this DVD is the short content. Danny Hunt explains things very quickly but clearly, so he didn't really go into small small small details of how to unpick a lock using the tools, or using handmade tools, but he go into telling you how the tools work, etc. Short and sweet. (Though I will appreciate if he go into far more details like teaching a card trick)
Well, its will be ideal for someone that knows about locks and lock picking and want to know the other methods available to open the locks. LIKE ME!!
I am so impressed but these methods and I already wanted to try doing those. No locks are safe after I saw the video, rest assured that I won't go to your house and start picking your locks, I still a honest performer. And all this is just for entertainment values, we Escapologist will not use the skills and tools we have, to commit crimes and misery to people. Well, I just I speak for myself here, cause, you never know.
Another DVD to go!!! ESCAPE VOL 2!!! |
